Enriqueta “Katy” Munguia Garza, age 90, was received into the loving arms of our Lord on Friday, February 25, 2022, in       Houston, Texas. On July 3, 1931, Katy was born to Domingo and Maria Munguia in Rosenberg, Texas. She lived in Rosenberg for 20 years until she married the love of her life, Andres Garza, making their home in Houston, Texas.

She loved helping her family, reading and traveling. She supported her husband in his many business endeavors as a truck driver, owner of washeterias and small-time farmer. She acted as a bookkeeper researcher of rules and regulations and ensured all proper forms were filled out and mailed in at the appropriate time. She enjoyed spending time and caring for her grandchildren was excited to meet her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.

She is survived by her daughters and sons, Esperanza Garza, Raquel Garza, Roberto Garza and partner, Tina Larson and Luis Garza; her grandchildren, Laura Garza and husband, Matthew, Andres Trevino III and partner, Corina, Monica Trevino and partner, Joshua, Erica Garza, Joshua Garza, Joel Garza and wife, Fatima, and Alexandra Garza; her great-grandchildren,  Aracely, Persephone, Joshua, Julia, John, Gabriella, Sofia, Mason, Maxton, Daniel and Madelyn and great-great-grandchild, Daniel.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers and her loving husband. May she rest in peace.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 7, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Houston, Texas. Internment will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
