Shirley Ann Duncan, 79, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, December, 21, 2023 at her home.

Shirley was the daughter of Raymond R. and Versa R. Smith and born on June 2, 1944 in Hereford, Texas.  She was the 4th of 7 children.  Shirley graduated from Hereford High School.  Jimmie David Duncan, the love of her life, met Shirley when she was just 15, while she was working at the local movie theater.  They married in Hereford, Texas, November 23, 1962 and had two children; Kimberly Ann, and Tammy Denise.  She was a loving wife of 61 years.  Shirley was able to celebrate this wonderful milestone.  She traveled all over the world with her husband for his job.  She was a great daughter, homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend.  In her early adult life, Shirley became a dedicated, baptized witness of Jehovah, and lived her life spending time sharing the wonderful hope of God's Kingdom.  She was baptized on May 4, 1969 at the same time as her maternal grandmother, Leona Winton Cargo, in Amarillo, Texas.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jimmie Duncan of Missouri City; daughters, Kimberly Chambers of Missouri City, TX and Tammy   Connelly-Howard (Forrest) of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, Amber Chambers, of Missouri City, TX, Bryan (Abby) Connelly of Harahan, LA and Kristina Connelly of Granbury, TX; great grandchildren, Mason and Greyson Chambers of Missouri City, TX, Rhylie Butler, Avery Chambers and Garrett Chambers of Huntsville, AL and Wyatt Connelly of Harahan, LA; sisters, Vera (Gerald) McDowell of Paris, TX and Wanda Smith of Pilot Grove, MO; brothers, Billy (Mary) Smith of Eufaula, OK and Robert (Rosie) Smith of Noble, OK along with numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph T. and Leona Cargo; parents, Raymond and Versa Smith; sisters, Betty Younger and Dorthy Jones; sons in law, Gary Chambers and Christopher Connelly and grandson, Derick Chambers.

A Memorial will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 114 Staffordshire Road, Stafford, Texas 77477.  Flowers received at: Jimmie Duncan, 1830 Quail Valley East Drive, Missouri City, Texas 77459.
