Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Tisman announces his passing.
Surrounded by family and peacefully at home on April 6, 2025, he was 85. Bob was born in the Bronx, New York, to Max and Ruth Tisman, on June 20, 1939.  He spent his childhood and adulthood in New York and California and moved to Florida and then settled
in Houston, Texas.  He met the love of his life in New York, and they married on October 29, 1961, and on their 25th wedding anniversary, they renewed their vows in front of family and friends, and this time with their 2 children, Shari and Michael.

Bob had several businesses, over the years, in New York, Florida, California and in Texas. But the most successful, was his Beauty Supply businesses in Texas, Just Beautiful Inc. Where his family participated in the work and success with his life-long expertise and knowledge that he brought to the Houston and Austin markets.
When Bob's children were growing up you would have found him rebuilding classic cars and hot rods with his son, Mike, or coaching little league baseball. He had a love for the sea and sunshine, and you would have found him boating and fishing with his family and friends when he was in Florida and then teaching his granddaughter, Danielle, in Texas, how to fish, when
she young or to teach her how to ride a bike, skateboard, roller-skate and worked with her on
her softball skills. His love for his animals was apparent, as his home was never without a rescue or any 4-legged animal, especially his dogs. He loved spending time with his family and loved to travel with Dory over the years.

He had a heart of gold and was one of a kind.  Anyone that was lucky enough to have known him, knew his heart was a generous heart and his family always came first however, he had never met a stranger and was always helping anyone that needed help. He will be extremely missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorene Kepke Tisman, his cherished son Michael Tisman, and his treasured parents, Max and Ruth Tisman.

Bob is survived by his loving daughter, Shari Tisman Mears, (Scott Martin), his devoted
granddaughter, Danielle Mears, his loving brother and sister-in-Law, Dr. Glenn and Nancy Tisman, his dear sister-in-law, Fern Kepke, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and of course, also missed by his furbabies Pete, Daisy and Truffles.

A Memorial Service is forthcoming, and we will let everyone know, when we have selected a
date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.

"A letter from Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I am not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think that we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I am right there in your heart

"God Saw Him"
God saw he was getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So, he put his arms around him
And whispered, "Come with me"
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
