Robert George
Miner
Jul 11, 1960 — Mar 23, 2023
Know to all as Bob, born in Hammond Indiana on July 11th, 1960 to Vernon and Juanita Miner.
He graduated from Calumet High School in 1978. Bob moved to Cleveland Texas where he met his wife, Jackie Neeley.
Bob is survived by his soulmate, Jacqulyn Gayle Miner and the apple of his eye, his daughter, Aubrey Renee Miner. He also leaves behind his beloved family - brothers, David and Rick Miner; his nephews, Scott Spencer and Kevyn Miner; his niece, Patty Miner; two great nephews, Chad and Jacob Spencer and a great niece, Abigail Spencer. He also leaves behind his companion, Talini, our cat.
Bob loved to cook and feed people! It was his love language. His infectious smile lit up his face and the room. He always had a smile on and a joke to tell. His laugh was whole hearted and contagious. He was a true sports fanatic! His love of all things Chicago was legendary, such as The Cubs, The Bears, The Blackhawks and The Bulls. Our home was filled with the sounds of the games playing on the TV all the time. His passion was Draft Kings and he played every chance he got! Collected baseball cards and sports memorabilia too!
He truly loved sports of all kinds, from baseball to NASCAR and everything in between. He also loved to gamble and was a lottery ticket buying man! He was notorious for winning too!
A man who loved being at home on the front porch and or mowing the lawn and gardening.
Bob preferred life simple. His love of classic rock and roll is also legendary His favorite singer is the great Bob Seger. His two favorite songs were "Turn the Page" and "Simple Man" The truth is he also loved the Lord as he grew older. He attended Alana Lane Baptist Church with his wife where he fed those who needed a great home cooked meal.
Bob was the song he loved . . . a simple man.
He will be forever missed by those of us that are left behind.
Until we are together again in Heaven . . .
