Madeline Kyle Emerick was born September 17, 1954 and passed away on July 14, 2026 at the age of 71 surrounded by her family and friends in Houston, Texas. She commonly went by her middle name, Kyle.

Kyle is preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years Jay B. Emerick, father James A. Hammack, mother Lilian Patricia Hammack, grandsons Benjamin Lucas Bennett and Jacob Jerry Bennett, sister Jimmette Hammack, and sister Robin Kim Coxie.

Kyle will be lovingly remembered by her children, daughter Patricia and husband David, daughter Katrinia Bennett, and son John Emerick and wife Carolyn. Siblings Kay Wood and James Hammack. Grandchildren Karina Errasti and husband Daniel, Jermaine Hines and wife Janita, Thomas Bennett, Aidan Emerick, Elikai Emerick, Micah Emerick, and Madelyn Emerick. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, great grandchildren, and family and friends.

Kyle loved the Lord, loved her family, and never met a stranger. Kyle's heart for the Lord was always on display from something as seemingly small as her smile, her tensecond two-armed hugs, her genuine and intentionally kind words, her giving heart, her wise advice which always started and ended with the Lord.

Kyle would take her love for you, founded and fueled in her love and passion for the Lord, and sprinkle in many relatable Bible verses that always hit their mark, sometimes stingingly so, but always lovingly.

The legacy left behind by Madeline Kyle Emerick is not just her life, it is the work she did during her life - to bring the love of God into the lives of others. We know that she heard upon arrival into Paradise, "Well done, good and faithful servant," (Matthew 25:23).
