Mackenzy Ludjer
Leveque
Apr 21, 1994 — Jun 7, 2026
Mackenzy Ludjer (Lajare) Leveque was born on April 21, 1994. On the morning of the 21st dad was a little nervous and the mom was ready to unload her bundle. Grandma Hazel showed up as requested at 6 am. She was eating a quarter pounder. Mackenzy's mom asked how she was able to get the sandwich at 6 am. She replied, "I told them what I had to go through today and a breakfast sandwich was not going to cut it." Shortly after she arrival, mom picked up her bag and dad picked up his two cameras and they left for the hospital. The preliminary procedures were done. Mom kept asking about pain meds. Finally, they took out a long needle, and put dad out of the room, and they injected mom with the needle. They let dad back in. Mackenzy was born at 2:06 pm.
His early years were normal. He started nursery school at two and a half. It is there where he met his lifelong friend Oluchi.
While making his first Mother's Day gift at nursery school, he didn't understand that the gift was for his mom. He pouted and even cried when the teacher told him that he needed to give the gift to his mom. On the way home that day, the mom asked him if he wanted the gift back and he said yes. She returned it. After shopping for a Mother's Day gift with dad, he begins to get the picture. Mackenzy returned his gift to his mom.
In about the second grade, he had a classmate named Kay-Kay. They were very good friends. He told me that she was going to a particular summer camp and that he wanted to go as well. Mom said okay, I will check it out and see what the program is like. Mackenzy said you don't have to check it out, I want to go to that camp. Mom said that you may get bored halfway through and I need to know what is going on each week. Mackenzy raised his voice a little and said, "Mommy I want to go to that camp". His mom finally got the picture. A good summer was had by all.
In the years that followed, Mackenzy became quite a cut up at school. This was probably caused by a maternal gene that he inherited from his mother.
Mackenzy's parents separated when he was about nine years old. Dad moved to Florida. Mackenzy, his mother, and his great grandmother moved to Texas. For the most part he was a C / B student. When he was in the third grade, his mom taught him basic economics (after making a purchase some things go up in value and some go down). Mackenzy understood this. This background sparked his later interest in stocks, bonds, and index funds etc. In high school he maintained straight A's in economics. Mackenzy had the minutes from a Shell's stockholders meeting that was held in the UK. He took it to his economic teacher, and he was floored. He didn't go to school events like prom and sports events, but he was very popular. The stuttering did not hold him back. He was close with a few guys. His closes friend was Lucas.
In his teen years, he developed his moms love for comedy, both parents love for cooking, and his dads love for nice cars, and of course there was PlayStation. He graduated from high school in June of 2012. During that same summer, he got a job at UPS freight as a forklift operator. Mom said you have to take some classes. Mackenzy didn't know what to major in because nothing struck his fancy. His Uncle Ralph suggested logistics because he was working in that field. Mackenzy attained a two-year degree in logistics from Houston Community College. When he was about nineteen, he met a young lady at a dinner party. They dated about a year and then parted. There was never another.
One day on his job, he saw a small black dog walking around the yard and another forklift driver almost ran over the dog. Mackenzy went over and picked up the dog who looked frightened. He brought her home and she has been with the family ever since. He named the dog Coco.
Mackenzy worked for UPS freight for about nine years. He was such a good employee that his manager gave him sick time pay even though people on a part time status do not warrant sick time pay when they leave.
Mackenzy thought he would enjoy a career as a claim adjuster. He attained the necessary certificate, however, lack of experience and a degree in business administration made it difficult to get a job. In February of 2025, he begins a trucking career and took his computer and Coco with him on the road so he could earn a bachelor's degree in business administration. After earning his degree, he realized he could make a greater income as an owner operator of his own truck. This became his plan. He developed a business plan and inquired about the application to become an owner operated.
During the first week of June 2026, he started feeling poorly. He said he could not hold down food, drinks not even Gatorade. He contacted his driver manager that he wasn't doing well and he needed to be dismissed. The driver manager hung up the phone on him. His mother and Lucas both spoke to him on the 6th of June. On the 7th , he did not reach out nor did he respond to our calls. Mother called the office on the 8th and within the hour they returned the call and told her that they found him dead in the truck. When he took his last breath, Coco was by his side.
