Kathleen L. Gilson, age 76, was born October 18, 1946  and left this life to go on to her new home February 22, 2023.

Kathleen would spend countless hours dedicating time to  serving her God, church, friends and her family. She never said No- it didn't matter who or what she was asked to do. She served in many areas of ministry including:  Sunday School, gardener, maintenance, worshiper, singer, door greeter and bus ministry. Her heart was service.

Kathleen is proceeded in death by her father, Ezra O. Ellis; mother,  Mary A. Ellis; brothers, Morris Ellis, Orville Ellis and Eddie Ellis and sister, Mary Ann Ellis Swearingin.

She is survived by her sisters, Nancy G. Ellis Morley and     Velma Ellis Snyder; daughter, Kat Tinder Jolliff; son Tom  Tinder; daughter, Candice Gilson Shah and husband, Raheem Shah; grandchildren,  Monica Stotts, Alexis Dee, Adalyse Dee, Nida Shah, Zane Shah and Amira Shah, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her church family.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 11:30 a.m until 12:30 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023. A funeral  service will follow  12:30 p.m. at Apostolic Lighthouse, 1801 Durst Street, Nacogdoches, Texas. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.
